Job Description
Job Overview The Assistant Wedding Planner will act as the primary on-site support for weddings, ensuring all details are executed according to the couple's timeline and vision. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves problem-solving, and can bring a calming, positive energy to wedding days. You'll work directly with couples, vendors, and our planning team to manage logistics, oversee setup and teardown, and ensure the event runs seamlessly from start to finish. Duties Serve as the on-site point of contact for the couple, vendors, and venue staff on wedding day Assist with setup of ceremony and reception spaces (decor placement, signage, place cards, etc.) Manage and follow detailed wedding timelines and vendor schedules Direct the ceremony processional and coordinate the wedding party Ensure all vendors arrive on time and understand their placement or schedule Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise calmly and efficiently Pack up personal items, décor, and gifts at the end of the event Provide exceptional customer service and maintain professionalism at all times Communicate updates to the lead planner throughout the day Qualifications Prior experience in weddings, events, or hospitality required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Highly organized, punctual, and detail-oriented Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure Comfortable being on your feet for long periods and lifting up to 25 lbs Must have reliable transportation and weekend availability Positive, team-oriented attitude and a passion for weddings
