Program Attendant (PT)

The Village of Tinley Park has exciting opportunities for Harmony Square Program Attendan t(s) to support year round programming at the new Harmony Square. We are seeking to fill multiple positions that will provide exceptional customer service and performs a variety of operational and administrative responsibilities in support of Harmony Square operations. We're seeking energetic, reliable individuals to help run a variety of fun community events in Harmony Square including concerts, festivals, parades, holiday markets, Game Nights, live music events, Cruise Nights, Block Parties, and the Farmers Market, while providing friendly, top-notch customer service to guests of all ages. You'll assist with hosting birthday parties, and in the winter months, help with ice rink operations. This includes rentals and opening/closing procedures, while assisting with merchandise and ticket sales and accurately handling both cash and cashless transactions. Responsibilities include maintaining safe, organized, and welcoming event spaces, monitoring attendance, responding to basic first aid situations if needed, and reporting any issues to supervisors. Ideal candidates are friendly, team-oriented, and organized, with strong communication skills and a willingness to work evenings, weekends, outdoor events, and in a fast-paced environment, making this a great opportunity to help create memorable community experiences. Must be at least 16 years old. Prior experience with customer service and cash handling is a plus. Minimum of one year of ice-skating experience is preferred to support winter operations. Must have the a bility to occasionally lift/push/move up to 25 pounds. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work a year-round flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. They will be excited about supporting a wide variety of programming from birthday parties to large special events while ensuring a fun and energetic customer focused experience for all patrons in Harmony Square. They will have excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and be able to work collaboratively to provide an enjoyable and safe experience. This position is required to work outdoors in a various weather conditions including hot temperatures exceeding 90 degrees and cold temperatures often below 40 degrees during winter weather events. Employee will be required to skate on the ice rink.
