30-50 hours per week Position Summary The Indianapolis Indians seek candidates to provide a high level of support to the Victory Field field operations staff during Indianapolis Indians home games and other events. It is our goal to make our guests' experiences at Victory Field as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. Our employees should be willing to go above and beyond to help make our guests feel welcome and always have a smile on their face.

Major Responsibilities Pre-game:

cleaning shop and equipment, tearing down batting practice, chalking foul lines, assisting with watering the infield, and any additional game setup

Mid-game:

dragging the infield, changing bases, pulling field tarp on and off during inclement weather

Post-game:

cleaning dugouts, picking up chalk lines, assisting with clay work, setting out batting practice equipment, tarping mounds and plates Other Duties Assist with Indians promotions including, but not limited to, Friday Fireworks and Knot Hole Kids Club Fun Run. Skills and Qualifications Highly motivated, energetic individual with excellent problem-solving and communication skills to interact with fans Coachable and willing to learn new techniques, skills, and practices. Excellent customer service, people and relationship skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask in a stressful and ever-changing environment Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for 4+ hours Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays Compensation $10.00 hourly; estimated 4-6 hours per shift About the Indianapolis Indians The Indianapolis Indians are the professional Triple-A baseball club affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Indians play their home games at Victory Field, a 13,750-seat ballpark located in downtown Indianapolis and White River State Park.
