• Job Summary:

• We are seeking a dynamic and talented DJ/MC to join our team!

As a DJ/MC, you will be responsible for creating an energetic and engaging atmosphere through music and entertainment at various events. We specialize in weddings, but have also done events at bars, clubs, and festivals. We are seeking DJs that want to work in these event spaces. You will start as an assistant helping our main DJs set up and take down for the night. During this trial peried. They will train you on how to work through an event and then graduate you to working your own events. This is a contract position and shouldn't be seen as a full time job. All events will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday so weekends must be available. You also must be able to work night shift as these events tend to go later into the evening. Once the event is over, your responsibility is to return all of the DJ gear back to our storage area in Grand Rapids. If you're ambitious, and love to DJ, and want to do 20 to 40 weddings a year, this is the job for you!

• Responsibilities:

• Perform as a DJ at events such as weddings, parties, and corporate functions
• Perform at clubs, festivals and teach how to DJ
• Select and play music appropriate for the audience and event
• Interact with guests and take song requests
• Set up and operate sound equipment and lighting systems
• Make announcements and engage the crowd to ensure a lively atmosphere
• Coordinate with event planners to understand client preferences

• Skills:

• Strong public speaking skills to engage the audience
• Ability to lift heavy equipment for setup (speakers, lights, etc.)
• Excellent customer service to interact with guests professionally
• Knowledge of music genres and ability to read the crowd to keep them dancing
