Baseball Field Maintenance

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Baseball Field Maintenance Technician and play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and professional synthetic turf baseball facility. This hands-on position focuses on turf field upkeep, game-day preparation, facility maintenance, and event support to ensure the playing surface and surrounding areas remain in top condition. Responsibilities Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the synthetic turf baseball field and surrounding facility areas Operate turf maintenance equipment such as groomers, blowers, sweepers, and utility vehicles to maintain proper playing conditions Remove debris, trash, gum, sunflower seeds, and other materials from the turf surface and warning track areas Monitor and maintain turf infill levels, seams, edges, and high-traffic areas to ensure safe field conditions Assist with routine inspections and minor repairs to turf surfaces, fencing, dugouts, netting, padding, and other field infrastructure Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for facility upkeep and maintenance tasks Assist with setting up and breaking down batting practice (BP) equipment, L-screens, cages, pitching screens, and field equipment before and after activities Help stage and prepare the field for game day, including dugout preparation, placement of field signage, sponsor boards, protective netting, and field presentation elements Move and reposition on-field signs, barriers, tarps, and equipment for pre-game, in-game, and post-game operations Support post-game cleanup and breakdown activities to ensure the facility is reset and ready for upcoming events Assist with event conversions and preparation for tournaments, practices, camps, and community activities Maintain safe working conditions by following all operational procedures and equipment safety guidelines Skills Experience with synthetic turf field maintenance or athletic facility operations preferred Familiarity with turf grooming equipment, blowers, sweepers, utility carts, and general maintenance tools Ability to safely operate hand tools and power equipment in a sports facility environment Strong attention to detail when preparing and maintaining professional-quality playing surfaces Experience assisting with game-day operations, field staging, and baseball event setup/breakdown preferred Strong physical stamina for outdoor work, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and moving equipment throughout the facility Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended game-day schedules Excellent teamwork and communication skills with a proactive and dependable work ethic Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety and presentation standards Join us in helping create a first-class baseball environment where athletes, fans, and the community can come together to enjoy America's favorite pastime!
