Job Description

Summary Assist in the implementation and execution of all in-arena activities including but not limited to: promotions on and off the ice, anthems, pre and/or post-game ceremonies, intermission entertainment, handouts, pavilion events and mascot duties for the Buffalo Sabres, Buffalo Bandits and for select special events. Duties & Responsibilities Work with a team to execute all game day elements of the Buffalo Sabres/Buffalo Bandits game presentation strategies Take part in pre-game preparation, in-game implementation and post-game duties to effectively complete assigned tasks Participate in fan interaction with and without team mascots Assist other departments with game-day initiatives as assigned Promote a positive fan experience and work as part of a creative team Minimum Qualifications for the Position Candidate must be at least 18 year of age. Availability for all Buffalo Sabres & Buffalo Bandits home games and special events is required. Pursuing or completed a degree in Sport Management, Business Administration or a related field preferred. All seasonal assistants are expected to be timely and punctual and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. Critical Competencies The ability to work independently and as part of a team Work effectively under pressure and be able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as they are presented. Potential candidates must be flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced, live and stressful environment. Must possess strong communication skills, an outgoing and positive attitude and enjoy interaction with fans. Critical thinking and the ability to effectively follow direction are essential. Resume reviews and mock interviews to strengthen job search and interviewing skills. Compensation & Hours This role pays $16.00 an hour. This is a part-time role and must have the flexibility to work extended hours, evenings, weekends and holidays. This is a temporary position for the 2026-2027 season. Work Environment & Physical Demands. This internship operates in both an office setting and in a live events setting. Live event coverage does consist of being around loud stadium noises and crowds. Candidate must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving boxes up to 20 pounds.
