JOB DESCRIPTION
Fox s Saturday Night w/ Jimmy Failla is looking for a confident, highly motivated, proactive Booker to join the team in NY. The Booker will be responsible for securing interviews with high-profile celebrities, comedians, entertainers, newsmakers, and everyday people. The ideal candidate is familiar with programming across all major networks and is plugged into the worlds of pop culture, politics, current news cycles, and social trends. You have excellent people skills and understand the importance of building and maintaining relationships with potential guests and their representatives by being an ambassador of the show. You thrive in a collaborative team environment and want to play a key role in supporting the show's live audience experience and contributing to all aspects of production.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Research, pitch, and book guests for weekly programming and future segments Book guests under the deadline pressure of a weekly show Maintain and expand an extensive network of contacts across entertainment, media, politics, publishing, and culture Track down potential guests using social media and other tools Conduct in-depth research and pre-interviews Develop booking strategies and collaborate with the team to secure guests Oversee all green room operations, coordinating guest arrivals, schedules, communications, and on-air readiness before and during show tapings Assist with weekly live audience coordination as needed
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred Experience booking guests for television, news, entertainment, or live programming Ability to track down hard-to-find people using social media, LexisNexis, Accurint, etc. Strong knowledge of pop culture, comedy, news, politics, and current events Familiarity with popular entertainers, influencers, commentators, and opinion makers; a strong rolodex is ideal Ability to establish and build positive relationships with high-profile guests and their representatives Skilled in maintaining those relationships when bookings need to be canceled or rescheduled Proven ability to identify unique guests and develop original booking angles Experience working with high-profile talent and managing sensitive communications Understanding that the news never stops, and some work may be required outside regular hours #LI-KC1 We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $67,000.00-90,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
