Compensation Range:
$21.57 - $27.37 The referenced pay range represents the first and last step pay rates for this job, as set forth in the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Individual pay will be set in accordance with terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Responsibilities:
Maintains building systems by inspection, performing scheduled and simple maintenance tasks. Reports abnormal conditions to designated authority.
SUPERVISION AND DIRECTION EXERCISED
None.
MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED
Ammeter, volt meter, micrometer, calipers, vibration meter, leak detector, other maintenance tools, meters and gauges, small hand tools and the like, required for the work.
TYPICAL DUTIES
1.Performs scheduled inspections of some building systems and equipment. Insures that equipment is in safe an efficient operating condition. 2.Checks for leaks and mechanical vibration, regenerates water systems, reporting abnormal conditions. 3.Replaces belts, filters, lamps, fuses; resets circuit breakers; lubricates, cleans, paints, labels equipment; and the like. 4.Cleans and/or paints equipment, components and mechanical areas, seals mechanical area floors. 5.Keeps records and makes reports of daily work, emergency/service calls investigated, service rendered and general condition of systems and equipment. 6.Complies with safety regulations of the University and of local, state and federal agencies.7.Maintains cleanliness of work area and ensures that tools and equipment are kept in good working condition. 8.Performs other duties requiring comparable skill and responsibility as directed by supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School education, and 1-2 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
