Position Overview Lange Ag Systems is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Account Manager, Livestock Systems to oversee regional producer accounts and drive the sales of turn-key capital equipment and facility solution packages. In this role, you will act as a trusted technical advisor to swine and dairy producers, helping them optimize herd performance and operational efficiency through advanced ventilation, feeding, gating, heating and watering systems. This is a hybrid role requiring a unique blend of technical aptitude (such as facility layouts and air-flow calculations), strategic account management, and field-level project coordination. Core Responsibilities 1. Account Management & Technical Sales (65%)
Territory & Relationship Management:
Proactively cultivate and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with independent producers, corporate production systems, and integrators within the region. Consultative Capital Sales:
Lead the sales process for complete barn equipment packages (both new construction and complex retrofits), matching producer operational challenges with tailored equipment solutions. Product Line Expertise:
Serve as the subject matter expert on Lange Ag Systems' premium product portfolios, effectively demonstrating the performance benefits and ROI of:
Ventilation Systems:
Fans, controllers, inlets, and evaporative cooling solutions. Feeding & Delivery Systems:
Bulk bins, auger lines, and precision electronic feeders. Gating & Penning:
Heavy-duty farrowing, gestation, nursery, and finishing gating layouts. Watering Systems:
Wet/dry feeder integrations, medicators, and high-efficiency water delivery. Lead Generation & Market Growth:
Reactivate dormant accounts and establish new business leads through consistent on-farm visits, regional networking, and active participation at agricultural trade shows. 2. Technical System Design & Estimating (30%) Custom Layout Design:
Collaborate with producers, internal and external assets to design optimized equipment configurations and barn layouts that support animal welfare, biosecurity, and production performance. Precision Project Quoting:
Utilize Lange Ag System estimating tools, accounting systems, and manufacturer product books to generate highly accurate, itemized quotes for equipment packages. System Optimization:
Analyze existing barns to troubleshoot operational issues (e.g., poor airflow, feed wastage) and recommend high-ROI modernization updates. 3. Project Coordination & Financial Accountability (5%) Sub-Contractor Networking:
Network with general contractors, concrete crews, and equipment installers to ensure seamless hand-offs and turn-key execution for the producer. On-Site Supervision:
Oversee crucial phases of equipment installation on and off-site, verifying that systems are delivered and installed according to technical specifications. Fiscal Responsibility:
Communicate project payment schedules clearly to clients, track contract milestones, and proactively assist with the collection of accounts due. Position Requirements Professional Qualifications & Skills Industry Passion:
A strong foundational knowledge of livestock production practices (swine and/or dairy), with a deep respect for regional agricultural communities. Technical & Digital Literacy:
High proficiency in leveraging PC software for workflow management and automation. Must be adept at using Excel for data tracking and financial breakdowns, alongside a working comfort with CAD programs for reviewing facility layouts. Grounded, Team-First Mentality:

Willingness to travel regionally for face-to-face farm visits, site inspections, and sales summits. A clean driving record (no DUIs or license revocations within the past 5 years) is mandatory. Preferred Education & Experience AA or Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Studies, Animal Science, Ag Business, or a closely related field. 2+ years of experience in agricultural sales, capital equipment account management, or swine/dairy farm operations management.
