Duties Curate and play a wide variety of music genres that match the event or audience preferences to keep the energy high. Host karaoke sessions by introducing singers, managing song selections, and maintaining a smooth flow of performances. Engage with guests through lively public speaking, encouraging participation and creating an inclusive environment. Coordinate with event staff to ensure timely setup of sound equipment and manage technical aspects during performances. Promote upcoming events or special themed nights using marketing skills to attract more attendees. Maintain a positive attitude and excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and ensuring everyone feels welcome. Assist with heavy lifting of equipment when necessary and ensure all audio-visual gear is handled safely. Qualifications Proven experience in DJing or hosting karaoke events is preferred; a passion for music is essential. Strong public speaking and communication skills to entertain and engage diverse audiences confidently. Knowledge of marketing techniques to promote events effectively within the community. Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to handle guest interactions professionally. Ability to dance or demonstrate rhythm that complements musical performances is a plus. Willingness to perform heavy lifting of equipment and set up sound systems as needed. Excellent organizational skills to manage song libraries, schedules, and event flow smoothly.
