Part-Time (Weekends) About Us Iowa Party Starters is a modern, high-energy Wedding Entertainment company based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We specialize in fun and meaningful wedding celebrations and events across Eastern and Central Iowa. Our mission? Bring unforgettable party vibes to every party in Iowa! We're expanding our DJ team and seeking dependable, outgoing individuals who are eager to learn, have fun, and get paid to party. No Experience? No Problem. We offer in-house training to teach you everything you need to know to become a confident, professional wedding DJ. From gear setup to music curation and MC skills — we'll guide you every step of the way.

What You'll Do:

DJ weddings and private events (mostly Saturdays) Play curated music, manage transitions, and keep the dance floor full Make announcements and hype up the crowd when needed Set up and tear down DJ equipment Represent our brand with professionalism and energy

What We're Looking For:

Outgoing, confident personality Clear communication and mic presence Reliable transportation + weekend availability Strong work ethic and punctuality Coachable attitude — we'll train you! Must be 18 or older Must be based in

Iowa Perks:

Free classroom-style DJ education (2-4 weeks of group training) Paid on-the-job training and events after hire All DJ equipment provided Starting pay (while in training): $15/hour (with raises upon training completion) Flexible, part-time weekend work Amazing team culture and support Learn from some of the best DJs in the state
