We work with schools and districts across the nation to bring diversity, empowerment, and engagement to classrooms and stages. We are seeking professional DJs to join our team for the September - December 2026 season . This role is ideal for a DJ with strong live performance experience, full mastery of their equipment, and the ability to travel. The Role As an SYR DJ, you'll be responsible for providing the heartbeat of our live assemblies, hyping crowds, supporting artists, and ensuring every performance is high-energy and professional. DJs must bring their own full equipment setup that meets the requirements listed below. Engage with guests through public speaking and interactive activities. Provide excellent customer service by addressing requests and ensuring guest satisfaction. Set up and break down audio equipment, which may involve heavy lifting. Promote events through marketing strategies to attract attendees. Collaborate with event planners to understand specific requirements and themes. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while performing.

Requirements Live Performance:

Provide live DJ support for school assemblies, musicals, and special events.

Technical Setup:

Transport, set up, and break down your own professional DJ equipment.

Music Integration:

Collaborate with SYR artists to run performance tracks, transitions, and sound effects.

Crowd Engagement:

Hype and engage students while maintaining professionalism.

Rehearsals:

Attend rehearsals, master cue points, and ensure smooth show flow.

Professional Representation:

Represent SYR with punctuality, energy, and professionalism.

Travel:

Be available to travel across California to school sites and performance venues.
