Job Description
PGS Equipment is looking for a motivated, hands-on individual to join our team as a Sales Representative & Product Support Specialist to support and grow our North Dakota customer base. This position combines customer relationship management, equipment sales, field support, and technical service. The ideal candidate enjoys working directly with growers, solving problems in the field, and helping customers maximize equipment performance throughout the season. This is a great opportunity for someone who understands specialty crop equipment and enjoys a mix of sales, technology, troubleshooting, and travel.
Key Responsibilities:
Sell and support potato planting and harvesting equipment
Build and maintain strong relationships with growers and dealers
Provide in-field product demonstrations, setup, and operator training
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues on-site and remotely
Assist customers with GPS, monitoring, and remote support systems
Coordinate with parts and service teams to ensure customer uptime
Travel to customer locations, trade shows, demonstrations, and industry events
Maintain accurate customer communication and sales records
Stay current on equipment technology and product updates
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of specialty crop experience (potato industry experience preferred)
Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on mindset
Demonstrated aptitude in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications.
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Willingness and ability to travel frequently during seasonal peaks
Strong computer and technology skills, including: ○ Microsoft Office ○ GPS and precision agriculture systems ○ Remote support and diagnostic systems
Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract required
Agricultural equipment sales or service experience is considered an asset
Must reside in or be willing to relocate to North Dakota
Ability to travel in North America and Europe if needed
