Position Purpose The Volleyball Coordinator is responsible for the comprehensive management and operation of volleyball facilities and programs. This role ensures exceptional customer experience through meticulous facility preparation, active game supervision, and thorough post-event cleanup. The coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for teams and participants, maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence throughout all volleyball activities. Key Responsibilities Pre-Game Setup & Facility Preparation Inspect and maintain volleyball nets ensuring proper tension without sagging, tears, rips, or holes Verify court lines are tight and properly secured with all anchors in place Set up volleyballs and conduct equipment inspection for quality and safety Activate volleyball court lighting systems prior to first game and check for burnt-out bulbs Post game schedules in visible locations and maintain personal copies Unlock facility gates and ensure proper access for participants Open and prepare Tiki Bars for service 15 minutes before first scheduled game Clean sand courts and patio areas, removing all debris and hazards Fill water stations with clean water and ice, ensure adequate cup supply Set music to appropriate volume levels for facility atmosphere Game Operations & Customer Service Maintain availability for team questions and ensure consistent quality experience Direct teams to assigned courts according to scheduled game times Record and maintain accurate scores following each match completion Provide assistance with close call disputes and deliver authoritative rules interpretations Monitor and maintain facility cleanliness during operations, including trash removal Ensure adherence to safety protocols and facility regulations Facilitate smooth transitions between games and teams Post-Game Closeout Procedures Collect and secure all volleyballs in designated storage areas Lock all facility gates and ensure proper security protocols Conduct comprehensive cleaning of patio areas, sand courts, and volleyball facilities Empty, clean, and properly store water jugs and station equipment Perform final facility inspection and security check Administrative Duties Collect and process participant waivers (Week 1 and ongoing) Print, distribute, and post current rules and regulations Maintain accurate records of facility usage and incident reports Coordinate with management regarding facility needs and maintenance issues Assist with scheduling and program coordination as needed Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent education Previous experience in sports facility management, recreation, or customer service Knowledge of volleyball rules, regulations, and gameplay Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Physical capability to perform manual labor and facility maintenance tasks Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events Capacity to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Visual acuity to monitor games and assess equipment condition Ability to bend, kneel, and perform cleaning and maintenance tasksSchedule and Hours Schedule:
