ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Airs live and pre-recorded shows Completes traffic logs and fixes logging discrepancies Airs emergency alert system tests as indicated Engineers remote broadcasts and follows station procedures. Regulates timing of programs,operatessyndicated programming, and plays commercials and promotions as scheduled Off-air support of commercial production, dubbing music to hard disk and programming automation computers Monitors and updates weather, traffic, and news reportsintoautomation equipment Monitors station contest Performs on-air announcements orshifts asassigned Assistswith remote appearances Takestransmitter readings andmaintainstransmitter logs
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and effectively manage time Self-starter, with the ability to take and follow direction Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with the station s clients and listeners Can work well independently and as an integral part of the team Ability to stand forlong periodsof time, and lift/move up to 50 lbs EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Six months of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays
