Job Description
The e2i program is seeking The e2i program is seeking Emcee to assist in running bingo events at the Utah County Fair. MCs are the face of the bingo event, responsible for hosting sessions and keeping the crowd engaged. This role is ideal for students who are confident public speakers and enjoy entertaining a diverse audience and creating a fun, family-friendly experience. Team members will be paid $15 per hour.

This is an event-specific role for Utah County Fair in Springville. You must be able to secure transportation to the fair. Employment is limited to the dates listed above. However, based on performance, team members may be eligible to work on future e2i projects. About e2i: Education 2 Impact (e2i) offers students the opportunity to work within interdisciplinary teams while gaining paid, hands-on experience. Projects are provided by companies or entrepreneurial UVU students, and teams are assembled to work under the guidance of a student project manager to complete these projects—mirroring real-world industry practices. This is an excellent opportunity for students currently studying Theatre Arts, Communications, or a related field to gain valuable professional experience working in a multi-disciplinary team. Host and lead bingo sessions in an energetic, family-friendly manner for large, diverse crowds. Call numbers clearly and at an appropriate pace while maintaining crowd engagement and energy. Prepare and deliver scripted or semi-scripted event commentary and announcements as needed. Coordinate with floor workers and event staff to ensure sessions start and run on time. Must be a current student at Utah Valley University, preferably studying Theatre Arts, Communications, or a related field. Preferred Major(s): Theatre Arts, Communications, or a related field (degree-seeking student preferred) Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong organizational skills and ability to meet project deadlines. Demonstrated comfort with public speaking or performing in front of large groups. Prior experience in event hosting, emceeing, theater, or a student leadership role is a plus. Energetic, personable, and able to adapt to a live crowd in real time. Strong verbal communication skills. Availability on required event dates is non-negotiable.
