Job Summary Join our innovative team as a Drone Applicator, where you will leverage cutting-edge drone technology to perform precise aerial applications across diverse terrains. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine aviation expertise, mechanical knowledge, and advanced mapping skills to deliver efficient, safe, and environmentally responsible solutions. As a Drone Applicator, you will be instrumental in executing drone-based operations that support agricultural, environmental, or infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and safety standards. Your enthusiasm for aviation and military experience will drive impactful results in this dynamic field. Duties Operate unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) equipped for application tasks with precision and adherence to safety protocols. Conduct pre-flight inspections, including mechanical checks and calibration of drone systems to ensure optimal performance. Apply chemicals or materials accurately over designated areas using drone technology, maintaining strict adherence to application guidelines. Capture high-quality photography and filming during flights for documentation, analysis, or reporting purposes. Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to plan flight paths, analyze terrain data, and optimize coverage areas. Maintain detailed logs of flight operations, application records, and maintenance activities for compliance and reporting. Follow all Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and Department of Defense (DoD) standards related to UAV operations and safety procedures. Must be able to drive and back a trailer Experience Proven experience operating drones in a professional setting, preferably within agriculture, environmental management, or infrastructure inspection. Strong mechanical knowledge related to drone systems, including troubleshooting and minor repairs. Familiarity with GIS software for mapping and flight planning purposes. Experience filming or capturing imagery from aerial platforms is highly desirable. Prior military or DoD experience involving aviation or UAV operations is a significant plus. Excellent command of English for clear communication and documentation. Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), especially those governing commercial UAV use and safety standards in aviation environments.
