Job Description

Location:
Manhattan, KS (field sites across northeast Kansas)
Job Type:
Seasonal, Full-time hours during spray season (roughly 6-10 weeks, summer 2026)
Pay:
$20-$25 per hour
Schedule:
Weather-driven split shifts — early morning and evening spray windows. Long days when conditions are right, short days when they're not. About the Job Ag Intellect is a precision agronomy and drone application company flying multiple DJI Agras spray drones across northeast Kansas row crops and pasture. We're founded and run by an FAA ATP-rated airline pilot — which means we run drone operations like a flight department: checklists, briefings, maintenance logs, and no cowboy flying. We need a pilot for our busy season: fungicide passes, pasture spraying, and precision application work. You'll fly as pilot-in-command of our Agras fleet with a trained ground crew handling mixing, loading, and battery swaps so you can stay focused on the mission. What You'll Do Fly DJI Agras spray drones as PIC under our Part 137 operation Plan missions: field mapping, obstacle survey, swath planning, buffer zones Conduct pre-flight briefings and inspections with ground crew Monitor weather, wind, and inversion conditions and make go/no-go calls Maintain flight logs, application records, and equipment condition reports Communicate professionally with farmer clients at field sites Assist with drone maintenance, firmware, and calibration Requirements FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (current) — non-negotiable Valid driver's license with clean record; comfortable pulling a trailer to field sites Strong weather judgment and disciplined go/no-go decision-making Able to work weather-driven hours: early mornings, evenings, weekends Physically able to assist ground operations (lift 50 lbs, work outdoors in heat) Detail-oriented with logs and records — our reputation rides on clean documentation Strongly Preferred DJI Agras experience (T-30/T-40/T-50 or similar) or other ag spray drone time Agricultural background — you know what a spray window is and why the wind matters Manned aviation experience or student pilots welcome — we speak your language here Why Fly With Us Fly modern equipment with real ground support — you fly, the crew loads Aviation-grade safety culture, run by an airline captain and CFI Per-acre bonus structure: when we're busy and you're efficient, you earn more Short seasonal commitment with strong potential to grow into a year-round role as we scale Great logbook line for anyone building a career in ag aviation or UAS operations To apply: Send your resume with your Part 107 certificate number and a summary of your drone experience (aircraft flown, approximate hours, and any ag application work). Strong candidates hear back within 48 hours.
