Job Description

Description:
The Drone Specialist is responsible for helping lead H&R Agri-Power's drone business in the direction the market is heading. This role will serve as the company's internal content expert on agricultural drones and will support sales, service, training, repair, compliance, and customer success related to drone systems. This position works closely with Precision Ag Specialists, customers, manufacturers, and distributors to grow H&R Agri-Power's drone business while providing a high level of support before, during, and after the sale. Primary Responsibilities Be the internal content expert on drones in agriculture. Stay current on the latest trends, products, and market direction for drones in agriculture. Help push H&R Agri-Power's drone business in the direction the market is heading. Understand and stay current on FAA licensing requirements and regulations related to heavy drone operation in agriculture. Provide sales support & training for Precision Ag Specialists as they work with customers on drone systems, support processes, and operational best practices. Serve as a point of contact for customers with questions related to drone systems, setup, operation, and support. Serve as the repair lead for drone crash situations. Help troubleshoot damage, coordinate repairs, and work to reduce downtime for the customer. Assist with building processes around drone setup, support, repair, training, and customer experience. Make sure H&R Agri-Power has the correct parts in stock to support drone repair needs. Help manage relationships with manufacturers and distributors of drone systems and drone-related products. Expectations Represent H&R Agri-Power in a professional manner with customers, vendors, and coworkers. Support the Precision Ag team with strong communication, urgency, and follow-through. Be proactive in learning new drone technology, product updates, and changes in regulations. Help deliver a positive customer experience through support, training, and problem resolution. Work with a sense of urgency when handling drone support and repair situations. Be willing to travel as needed for demos, field starts, training, and customer support.
Requirements:
Preferred Skills and Qualifications Strong understanding of agricultural drone technology and its fit in production agriculture. FAA Part 107 certification required or willingness to obtain. Spray certification required or willingness to obtain. Strong understanding of FAA requirements or willingness to learn the requirements for operating and supporting heavy ag drones. Good mechanical and technical troubleshooting ability. Strong communication and customer support skills. Ability to train both customers and internal staff. Ability to work with manufacturers, distributors, and internal departments to solve problems and support growth. Background in agriculture, application equipment, precision ag, or drone technology preferred.
Reporting / Support
Role This role will work closely with the Precision Ag team and support H&R Agri-Power locations, customers, and internal departments as needed in relation to drone sales, support, and service.
