Agricultural Drone Operator

Job Overview We provide aerial application services to a variety of customers, including but not limited to forestry, pasture, and aquatics. This position offers the candidate to travel and correspond with others in the industry that could benefit future career endeavors. Our drone crews are completely independent. They have their own one-person operation with a truck and trailer outfitted to complete the pesticide applications. They often work long hours and 7 day work weeks, with various time off November-February. The candidate is required to correspond with customers, mix chemicals appropriately, and understand the planning and techniques of aerial application. Hotel or company housing is provided while working out of town. Responsibilities Operate DJI agricultural drones effectively and safely. Apply pesticides with drones in a manner that complies with Nation and Statewide laws and regulations. Also understand the effects of wind/weather on aerial application technology. Communicate the landowners/customers. Ensure proper equipment maintenance. Requirements Part 107 (UAS) certified

Commercial Pesticide Applicator License:

Includes aerial and pasture and rangeland endorsements at minimum, with the will to obtain other endorsements. Experience in related field is helpful; Clean driving record, must pass regular drug and alcohol screenings; willing to travel and adapt to changing environments; some heavy lifting may be required.
