In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and calibrating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), ensuring they operate safely and efficiently for a variety of mission-critical applications. Your expertise will support cutting-edge projects in fields such as GIS mapping, aerial filming and photography, and military or government operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art drone systems while adhering to strict safety and regulatory standards. Duties Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of drone platforms and components. Calibrate sensors, cameras, GPS modules, and other payload equipment to ensure optimal performance for filming, photography, or surveying tasks. Troubleshoot technical issues using detailed manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools, resolving problems efficiently to minimize downtime. Conduct pre-flight checks according to Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and company safety protocols before each operation. Assist in the setup and calibration of drones for specialized missions involving GIS data collection or high-quality filming and photography. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, calibrations, and operational logs in compliance with DoD (Department of Defense) standards when applicable. Support flight operations by providing technical guidance on drone capabilities, limitations, and safety procedures in accordance with aviation regulations. Qualifications Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing and maintaining UAV systems or similar aviation equipment. Familiarity with GIS software applications used for mapping, surveying, or spatial analysis. Experience in filming or photography using drone payloads is highly desirable. Prior military or DoD experience related to aviation or unmanned systems is preferred. Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) governing UAV operations to ensure compliance during all flights. Understanding of aviation principles including aerodynamics, navigation systems, and safety protocols. Proficiency in English with excellent communication skills for technical documentation and team collaboration.
