Assist in the preparation of research, program, shared instrument and training grant applications to federal agencies and private foundations; editing, writing, and coordinating grant proposals; providing developmental, and editing of biomedical manuscripts; and preparing scientific and other reports. Reviews grant applications provides suggestions to improve presentation of text, figures, and tables. Reviews and provides content for the website. Develops a plan for providing increased writing and proposal preparation training.
Required Education:
High school diploma or GED or equivalent
Recommended Education:
Bachelor's degree in a related field of study.
Required Work Experience:
High School Diploma/GED and 6 years of relevant experience, or 8 years of experience in lieu of a diploma/GED.

Description 1. Writes, edits, and formats research proposals, annual reports, scientific manuscripts, abstracts, and newsletters 2. Ensures grant or manuscript preparation guidelines are fully integrated/addressed and review outgoing documents. 3. Develops deliverables, activities and schedules for the projects. 4. Oversees the development and implementation of a database to track work assignments 5. Ensures grant outcomes are updated in the database as funding decisions are made. 6. Tracks writing/editing work done for manuscript, newsletter, and other document preparation 7. Identifies new grant opportunities and communicate those with potential applicants. 8. Performs other duties as assigned.
