Job Description:
The individual filling this position is expected to play a positive role in helping the College change as necessary to effectively carry out its mission. The Copy Services Manager position is directly accountable to the Chief Information Officer for the following duties and responsibilities: Coordinate college copying services and outsourcing of off campus printing. Work with off-campus printing vendors to seek the best possible price estimates for quality print jobs. Advise staff and faculty on printing/copying jobs as to most cost-effective method and most effective format of production. Ensure that all college materials adhere to the Strategic Communications Publication and Style Guide. Review provided digital files to make sure layout specification is within the copier limitations and/or revise if necessary. Ensure all end products of Copy Services meet the standards of quality in a cost-effective manner. Coordinate preparation of all paperwork necessary for charging accounts. Purchase all paper or materials for support of copying services. Input job tickets for all copy/print requests. Maintain computerized inventory and other documentation necessary for reporting purposes.
Utilize and maintain office equipment:
copiers/printers, folder, laminator, padding machine, plastic comb binder and hydraulic paper cutter. Schedule maintenance on equipment as necessary. Maintain spending and control of Copy Services budget. Control User Accounts in PaperCut's copy tracking software of present and new employees to maintain accuracy in departmental copier charges. Supervise part-time staff assistant and student worker. As a part of the college's risk management tool annual mandatory compliance training is required. Perform other duties as assigned by Chief Information Officer Benefits Health insurance for employee and dependent coverage available. College-paid basic life insurance for employee with additional coverage for employee and/or dependents at employee's expense College-paid retirement with 3% employee contribution to the Florida Retirement System (FRS) Optional dental and vision insurance at employee's expense Paid leave accrual (sick and vacation/annual leave) Paid time off for designated holidays, winter break, and spring break 4-Day workweek (Monday - Thursday) available to many departments Free tickets to designated Mattie Kelly Arts Center and Raider Athletic events
Requirements:
BS/BA in related field or a Vocational Certificate in Graphic Arts Advanced knowledge of Adobe Complete Suite and Microsoft Office software applications. Extensive knowledge and experience of pre-press production. Three (3) to five (5) years full-time experience in the printing/duplicating industry preferably in a college environment. Ability to work well with others and to work under pressure in a deadline-oriented atmosphere.
