Senior Marketing & Creative Manager Location:
Newton Country Day School, 785 Centre St.,
Newton, MA Schedule:
Routinely, Monday•Friday, 8 am•4 pm, and school events as needed
Salary:
$75,000•$95,000, dependent on experience Position Summary Newton Country Day School seeks an experienced, versatile, and creative professional to join its Marketing and Communications team. This is a full-time, 12-month, on-site position reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications. The Senior Marketing & Creative Manager is responsible for producing high-quality content that supports the school's Admissions, Advancement, and community engagement efforts. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller and clear communicator who can work nimbly and independently, employ common sense, write effectively, and work collaboratively. The candidate must practice confidentiality, respect, and appropriate relationships with all constituencies, and bring a good sense of humor, joy, and warmth. Key Responsibilities Design and produce print and digital materials to support Admissions, Advancement, and school-wide initiatives Develop and share story ideas with the marketing and communications team; cultivate relationships with community members to engage in opportunities for compelling storytelling Create and edit short-form video and multimedia content for web, social media, and campaigns Coordinate with videography, photography, graphic design, and printing partners Capture and edit photography for events, publications, and digital use Manage and execute the school's social media strategy, including content planning, photography and video, writing, posting, and performance tracking Collaborate with Admissions to plan, execute, and optimize digital advertising campaigns Write and edit content for the school website, magazine, and other communications Capture and produce coverage of major school events (e.g., Homecoming, Reunion, Commencement), including occasional evening and weekend hours Work with student committees to support and promote student voice in school marketing productions Contribute to additional marketing and communications initiatives as needed Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in graphic design, communications, marketing, or a related field 5+ years of professional experience in design and content creation Demonstrated experience in photography and videography, including editing Strong writing, editing, proofreading, organizational, and project management skills Ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, staff, parents, and alumnae Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Lightroom) or similar platforms, including Canva Experience with social media channels, publishing tools, and analytics Experience with website content management systems such as Finalsite is a plus Experience in an educational or nonprofit setting preferred Physical Requirements and Work Environment Works at a desk and on a computer screen for extended periods.
