Job Description

We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented assembly cut editor to handle the rough cut stage of our YouTube video production workflow. This is a recurring freelance role with consistent work for the right person (1-2 projects a month, to begin). You won't be doing color grading, motion graphics, or final polish this is purely about syncing audio (5-6 audio files), organizing multi-cam footage (2 cameras + ~8 hours of footage), and cutting down raw material into a clean, usable assembly cut ready for final edit (1-2 day delivery) Opportunity to create social media videos, if interested. What you'll be doing Sync all audio sources (56 mics) with multi-cam footage Select the best camera angle per scene/moment Cut the raw footage down to a tight assembly cut removing dead air, false starts, off-topic tangents, and unusable takes Deliver a clean timeline ready for final editing and post-production Maintain a consistent, fast turnaround (approximately 2 days from footage receipt) What we're not looking for Color grading or color correction Motion graphics or titles Sound design or music mixing Thumbnail creation or export formatting Requirements Based in North America (required for timezone alignment and communication) Proficient in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro (We work on a Davinci Workflow) Comfortable handling large raw file volumes (8+ hours of footage) Experience syncing multi-mic audio to multi-cam timelines Reliable, communicative, and able to consistently hit a 2-day turnaround Prior experience editing YouTube or digital content is a strong asset
