Living in Philadelphia or Montgomery County is preferred. About Us Junto Productions is an independent boutique media studio focused on creating thoughtful, story-driven video content. We produce interviews, educational media, podcasts, and digital content designed to inform, engage, and connect with audiences in a meaningful way. As our studio grows, we are expanding into more documentary-style and narrative-driven work, along with virtual and broadcast-style production supported by our in-house studio capabilities. Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Producer / Editor specializing in story-driven documentary and branded content. In this role, you will craft compelling narratives that resonate with audiences across multiple platforms, blending creative storytelling with technical expertise. Your ability to manage projects from conception through post-production will ensure the delivery of high-quality, impactful videos that elevate our brand and engage viewers worldwide. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape meaningful stories while honing your skills in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Develop and oversee the production of documentary-style and branded content, ensuring alignment with project goals and brand messaging. Collaborate with writers, directors, and clients to interpret creative concepts into engaging visual stories. Manage all phases of video production, including planning, scripting, shooting, editing, and post-production workflows. Utilize editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop to craft polished final products. Create story outlines and edit notes to produce clear project documentation, storyboards, and post-production reports. Independently research, identify, and source relevant: B-roll footage Archival video and photography Historical imagery News clips and public domain assets Graphics and supporting visual elements Required Qualifications 3+ years experience editing documentary, branded, or interview-driven content Advanced proficiency in DaVinci Resolve, After FX and AI Strong working knowledge of Adobe After Effects for graphics animation and motion design Strong storytelling instincts with the ability to build compelling narratives from interviews and supporting visuals Demonstrated experience sourcing and integrating archival and b-roll footage Strong research skills and visual literacy Ability to work independently and proactively solve creative challenges Excellent organizational and communication skills Experience with culturally significant, historical, nonprofit, or mission-driven storytelling is a plus Preferred Experience Documentary filmmaking Historical or archival research Nonprofit or educational storytelling Broadcast or long-form editorial Managing footage from multiple sources and formats Creating animated explainers, maps, typography, and cinematic motion graphics Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is not simply an editor, but a visual storyteller who understands how to elevate interviews through thoughtful imagery, historical context, graphics, and emotional pacing. They should be comfortable taking ownership of the story-building process, especially in identifying and sourcing visuals that deepen the narrative without requiring frame-by-frame direction from producers.
