Birmingham, Alabama In-office Expectations:

This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week. II. Essential Job Functions Pitch and write evergreen and news stories optimized for performance on multiple traffic channels (Google Discover, newsletter, social, search) for SouthernLiving.com, managing stories from research and ideation to production Assign, produce, and edit freelance stories, including editing feedback and general communication Collaborate with Southern Living editorial on ad-hoc projects, such as ideation of videos, social content, or newsletters Collaborate with the Southern Living print staff to co-create content to be used in print and online Assist in updates to existing content for accuracy, style, or general quality

Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
