Job Title:
Labeling Specialist The Labeling Specialist manages the end-to-end artwork development process for labeling materials, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. This role uses an Artwork Management System and creative tools to initiate, generate, route, and finalize artwork, collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners. The position plays a key role in supporting innovative therapies by producing high-quality, compliant labeling assets across multiple projects and languages. Responsibilities Manage the complete artwork development process using the Artwork Management System. Initiate new artwork projects and set up required workflows and documentation. Route projects for data collection, ensuring all necessary information is gathered and up to date. Manage templates, assets, and standardized phrases to maintain consistency and compliance across labeling materials. Generate artwork using both automated tools and conventional design methods. Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams by routing artwork through structured approval workflows. Coordinate with external stakeholders to review, refine, and approve artwork. Submit final, approved artwork files to print vendors in the required formats. Oversee and manage print proofing, ensuring that printed materials match approved artwork and quality standards. Track project status across multiple labeling initiatives and maintain clear, organized records. Provide weekly project status updates, as well as ad hoc updates when needed, to relevant stakeholders. Ensure labeling materials meet accuracy, regulatory, and compliance requirements. Monitor timelines closely to ensure labeling materials are delivered on schedule. Work with content in various languages and ensure correct application within templates and artwork. Manage multiple labeling projects simultaneously through structured workflows and prioritization. Essential Skills 3-5 years of labeling experience. Strong experience in artwork development, with prior hands-on involvement preferred. Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator. Proficiency using an Artwork Management System. Experience with Cascade Plug-In or similar tools. High attention to detail and strong quality focus. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently through structured workflows. Comfort working with content in various languages within labeling and artwork. Additional Skills & Qualifications Proven ability to work within defined processes and approval workflows. Strong organizational and time management skills to support multiple concurrent projects. Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and timelines. Comfort working in a scientifically driven environment focused on transformative therapies in areas such as ophthalmology, nephrology, hematology, and neurology. Work Environment This role begins as a part-time, remote position at approximately 20 hours per week for the first three months, allowing time for onboarding and training in systems and workflows. After the initial period and transition to a 40-hour work week, the position shifts to a hybrid arrangement, with on-site presence required twice per week. The work environment is highly collaborative and mission-driven, supporting the development of transformative therapies that target the complement system. You will work extensively with digital tools, including an Artwork Management System, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and related plug-ins, while coordinating with cross-functional teams and external partners in a structured, process-oriented setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Waltham, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
