Senior Writer/Editor. About the Role Seeking an experienced Senior Writer/Editor to join our Communications and Marketing Team. In this role, you'll lead the development and refinement of high-quality, research-informed content that supports culturally responsive, evidence-based practices. You'll collaborate closely with project teams, including leadership and subject matter experts, to produce impactful written materials, training content, and multimedia resources used across multiple initiatives. ________________________________________ What You'll Do
  • Review, edit, and finalize content for websites, newsletters, and social media
  • Develop engaging content for newsletters, announcements, and external communications
  • Copyedit materials to align with funder and style guidelines (e.g., APA, government standards)
  • Format content across platforms (e.g., Loomly, Constant Contact, PowerPoint, Word templates)
  • Ensure accessibility standards are met across all written products
  • Provide detailed feedback and revisions on drafts and training materials
  • Edit and refine training content, including slide decks and talking points
  • Collaborate with graphic design staff to finalize deliverables
  • Support multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously ________________________________________ What You Bring
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to tailor content for diverse audiences and literacy levels
  • Experience integrating feedback from multiple stakeholders
  • Background in developing newsletters and digital communications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Expertise in style guides (APA, government writing standards)
Preferred:
  • Experience in government, nonprofit, social services, or community-based sectors
  • Familiarity with mental health or substance use topics
  • Grant writing experience

  • Advanced degree, postgraduate training, or equivalent experience
