Job Summary We are seeking a talented Managing Editor for a local publication, to oversee our editorial team and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality content. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in editing, fact-checking, and creative writing. Duties
- Manage and coordinate the editorial team's workflow to meet deadlines
- Oversee the editing process, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines
- Collaborate with writers to develop engaging content that resonates with the target audience
- Edit and proofread articles, ensuring clarity, coherence, and grammatical accuracy
- Lead brainstorming sessions for new content ideas and initiatives
- Develop editorial strategies to enhance content quality and audience engagement Requirements
- Proven experience as a managing editor and in editing, copywriting, and creative writing
- Strong knowledge of AP style guides
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
