This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft fresh, trend-driven collections that resonate with youthful audiences. As a key contributor to our design team, you will translate market trends into compelling designs, ensuring each piece embodies the energetic spirit of contemporary fashion. Your creativity and technical expertise will help shape our brand's identity and inspire the next generation of style-conscious consumers. Responsibilities Develop original design concepts for junior and young contemporary collections, aligning with current market trends and brand identity. Create detailed sketches and technical drawings using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and CAD software to communicate design ideas clearly. Select fabrics, colors, and trims based on color theory principles and fashion retail insights to produce cohesive collections. Manage the product lifecycle from initial concept through sample development, fitting, revisions, and final production. Collaborate with merchandising teams to ensure designs meet commercial goals and align with seasonal themes. Oversee garment construction details, ensuring designs are feasible for manufacturing while maintaining quality standards. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging designers, and cultural influences through research in fashion styling, graphic design, theater, and other creative outlets to inspire innovative designs. Qualifications Proven experience or strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in fashion design for junior and young contemporary markets. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), CAD programs, and garment pattern-making software. Solid understanding of product lifecycle management processes within the fashion industry. Skilled in garment construction techniques, sewing machine operation, and illustration methods. Knowledge of fabric properties, sewing techniques, and merchandising strategies relevant to fast-paced retail environments. Excellent sense of color theory combined with a keen eye for detail in fashion styling and graphic design. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a creative team environment.
