26-05023 Job Summary The Assistant Technical Designer supports the Technical Design team with fit preparation, garment evaluation, sample management, and technical documentation activities. This role assists in weekly fittings, communicates fit revisions, and helps maintain seasonal sample libraries while supporting technical design initiatives across apparel categories. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Job Responsibilities Assist the Technical Design team with fitting preparation activities
Measure garment samples and support fit evaluations as needed
Manage and maintain seasonal fit sample libraries
Attend weekly fittings and document fit notes to communicate revisions to patternmakers
Support technical design responsibilities for assigned apparel categories, including sweatshirts and pullovers
Assist with special projects and additional department initiatives as assigned
Collaborate with technical designers, patternmakers, and cross-functional teams to support product development
Maintain accurate technical documentation and organizational systems
Support workflow management to ensure deadlines and project timelines are met Job Requirements Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Technical Design required
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat required
Experience with PLM and/or PDM systems preferred
Knowledge of performance or activewear construction and fabrics preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage deadlines effectively
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude with strong work ethic and adaptability Work Experience Previous experience supporting technical design, garment fitting, apparel product development, or sample management preferred
