The Associate Designer is responsible for assisting Designers in the following menswear categories: polos, wovens, bottoms, jackets, sweaters, t-shirts, hats, footwear, accessories and more. As well as organizing various design tools and assisting in merchandising functions.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design seasonal menswear product within, but not limited to, accessories category Ownership of creating and maintaining tech packs, mill sheets, artwork pages, trim pages, merch boards, and more. Collaborating with & assisting designers: creating/updating tech packs, mill sheets, artwork pages, trim pages, merch boards, and more for categories outside accessories.
Occasional SMU designs for:
Sales, Marketing, Exec, Design Organize and maintain fabric, trim, and material libraries. Research, interpret, and apply market trends (competitors and non-competitors) appropriate to the brand Coloring CADs across various categories and assisting in color theory / exploration. To be flexible and open minded in designing the best product for the brand & customer. Problem solving for any issues on designs/categories Basic understanding of Photoshop and Illustrator CAD-work a must. Prepare presentation materials for internal line reviews, sales meetings, go-to-market, and marketing alignment. Assist in preparing line sheets, sample boards, and digital assets for seasonal reviews. Preparing sales reports as meeting and review assets. Collaborate with merchandising and planning teams to organize product rankings, SKU lists, and seasonal assortments. Participate in product reviews to gain exposure to performance, fit, and consumer feedback processes.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
(Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop Additional Adobe Suite is a plus Familiarity with PowerPoint and building presentations A.I. Product generation skills a plus Comfortable working with Excel and Google Sheets for line planning and tracking. Communication Proficiency Project Management / Multi-tasking Teamwork Orientation
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree in Design or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered. Minimum 1 year of experience in apparel design 25.29
