Manage Production to successfully develop samples and production process, beginning to end, and deliver product on-time.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicating with factories overseas by email or phone (comments must turn around within 1-2 days of receipt of sample) Responsible for commenting on all samples received at office. Developing tech pack, measurements, and grading for all styles Assist in fit session, spec garment, and send comments Follow up, track, and manage all samples. Maintain and update seasonal spreadsheet with all sample info. Organize yarn and fabric library and maintain an organized development area. Search for and provide seasonal color and style inspiration. During production, consistently follow up with all vendors and communicate labeling, tagging and packaging instructions. Keep track of stock apparel labels, tags, polybags and order as needed. Help resolve production related problems and follow up with vendors as needed. Make sure goods are produced / shipped in the correct quality and requirements. Keep track of all sample invoices to ensure they are accurately paid. Strong and clear communication skills - both oral and written. Heavy emphasis on speed and quality of communication
JOB REQUIREMENTS
At least 2 years of experience, preferably in women's apparel industry.
MUST KNOW HOW TO SPEC GARMENTS.
Must be able to identify fit issues and find solutions Knowledge of garment construction Knowledge of garment grading and specs Pre-production experience Experience working with a small staff and wearing multiple hats. Exceptional time management skills, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Strong collaboration and communication skills. Detail oriented, have positive & flexible attitude and sharp memory.
