The ideal candidate will develop unique fabric patterns, prints, and textures that align with current trends and brand identity. This role involves collaborating closely with product development, merchandising, and fashion styling teams to bring fresh ideas from concept to final production. A strong understanding of color theory, garment construction, and the product lifecycle is essential to create designs that are both aesthetically appealing and commercially viable. Responsibilities Conceptualize and create original textile designs using Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator Develop detailed sketches and illustrations for fabric patterns, prints, and textures Utilize CAD software to produce technical specifications for manufacturing processes Collaborate with product development teams to ensure designs meet quality standards and production requirements Manage the entire product lifecycle from initial concept through sample development and final production Stay current with fashion trends, retail insights, and industry innovations to inform design direction Assist in selecting color palettes based on color theory principles for cohesive collections Support merchandising efforts by creating visual presentations of textile concepts for buyers and stakeholders Maintain organized digital archives of design files, samples, and project documentation Skills Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) for digital design work Experience with CAD software related to textile or fashion design Knowledge of product lifecycle management processes within the fashion industry Strong foundation in fashion design principles, garment construction, and sewing techniques Ability to create compelling graphic designs and illustrations that translate well into fabric prints Understanding of color theory to develop harmonious color schemes for collections Familiarity with sewing machines and garment construction techniques is a plus Experience in fashion retail or styling enhances the ability to create market-relevant designs Skills in graphic design, illustration, and merchandising to effectively communicate design concepts Background in theater or costume design can provide unique creative perspectives This position offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate Textile Designer eager to influence contemporary fashion through innovative fabric designs.
