Designed to move seamlessly from the studio to the street, our products fuse innovation, comfort, and style. Based in Miami, we're a fast-growing global brand passionate about creativity, community, and motion. Role Overview We're looking for a freelance footwear designer with strong sneaker design experience to support the development of new dance sneaker styles. This role is highly focused on footwear design execution, technical drawing creation, and tech pack development. The designer will work directly with Fuego's Product Manager, who will lead product strategy, concept direction, development coordination, and factory communications. Your primary responsibility will be translating creative direction into compelling footwear designs and production-ready technical packages. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in creating clean, accurate footwear documentation for manufacturing. Responsibilities- Create original footwear designs and silhouette explorations based on creative briefs
- Develop colorways, material blocking, upper designs, and visual design details
- Produce detailed technical sketches and production-ready footwear tech packs
- Prepare specification sheets including materials, dimensions, labeling, stitching, outsole details, and construction notes
- Revise and update tech packs based on product feedback and prototype changes
- Research sneaker, fashion, and dancewear trends for inspiration
- Ensure all designs align with Fuego's brand identity and target customer
- Organize and maintain clear design documentation and version control Qualifications
- 3+ years of footwear design experience, preferably in sneakers or athletic/performance footwear
- Strong portfolio showcasing sneaker design work
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Experience creating detailed footwear tech packs and technical drawings
- Strong understanding of footwear construction and materials
- Ability to interpret creative direction and execute efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced freelance environment with deadlines
