We help customers coordinate the perfect fabrics, trimmings and drapery hardware for their windows, upholstery, pillows and bedding. For those clients requiring next-level help, we also design custom window treatments, bedding and pillows. Our workroom creates it and our installer rounds out the process. Responsibilities Assist customers in selecting fabrics, etc. by providing knowledgeable guidance on materials, textures, and uses Operate point-of-sale system efficiently and accurately Upsell complementary products and promote custom drapery services Keep the store beautiful through merchandising and stocking activities Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries with professionalism and courtesy Manage phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries Support supervising staff in training new team members or overseeing daily operations as needed Requirements Some knowledge of fabrics, window treatments and design whether through previous employment or personal use. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively Positive attitude and willingness to help Basic understanding of retail environments and great customer service Professional phone etiquette Basic math skills for using a calculator to determine fabric yardage needed Ability to stand for extended periods and perform merchandising tasks efficiently Willingness to learn Lift 25 pounds unassisted
