CAD Designer - $28-$32/hr - Metal Fabrication

• $32 per hour Background / Drug 7-year county background check required No drug test required We are seeking an experienced CAD Designer to support metal fabrication and manufacturing operations.

This role is responsible for transforming customer drawings into production-ready fabrication packages, creating efficient layouts, and supporting projects from concept through manufacturing. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with CAD design, sheet metal fabrication, drafting, and manufacturing engineering experience. Responsibilities Create detailed CAD drawings and models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar software Interpret customer drawings, specifications, and CAD files Develop efficient material layouts and fabrication plans Design layouts for sheet metal and plate fabrication projects Create complete fabrication packages including assembly drawings, material layouts, and production documentation Generate material requisitions and coordinate with purchasing teams Collaborate with production, engineering, and project management teams Recommend process improvements to increase manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs Maintain organized documentation and revision control within company systems Update material lists and cost-related information for production planning Requirements Minimum 3 years of experience in metal fabrication Strong CAD experience using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar software Experience working with sheet metal and plate fabrication Knowledge of bend allowances, forming processes, and fabrication methods Ability to read and interpret customer drawings and CAD files Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Experience creating manufacturing drawings and production documentation Ability to work effectively with production, engineering, and purchasing teams Strong problem-solving and communication skills If you have CAD design experience and a background in metal fabrication, apply today.
