is searching for a Freelance Designer for immediate start on a project or hour basis. Amount to be determined based on experience and design talent level. Must have a contemporary aesthetic designing Swimwear and Cover-Ups.

The Designer must be able to identify emerging fashion trends and business opportunities to be at the forefront of design in this zone. Develop and create a vision for new product line assortments. Strong technical experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Design, development, and manage the Ladies Contemporary Swim business from concept to production: Responsibilities Research and identify trend directions Shop marketplace, our competitive set and for inspiration and product opportunities Plan the line according to style plans, sales needs and emerging trends Develop product, and marketing concepts for emerging categories or items Develop fabrics, color palettes, special trims and styling details Prepare trend boards for management meetings Ensure product is being designed within cost parameters Manage all overseas communication with sample facilities for sample execution Attend/Manage all development and production fittings Ensure production fits are to our specifications Adhere to time and action calendar Create and Manage Cads, Linesheets, and Tech Packs Qualifications 5 plus years of experience in swim design Knowledge and understanding of swim related fabrics Excellent organizational skills Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop Hand sketching abilities on Procreate or similar digital program a plus Problem-solving abilities in meeting deadlines. Microsoft Office Programs BA Degree in Fashion Design Must be eligible to work in US without additional sponsorship/visa requirements.
