DESIGN DIRECTOR

- Missy Modern Updated Social Dresses We are seeking two talented Design Directors to join our established dress company in New York City — one specializing in Missy Daytime Dresses and the other in Missy Modern Updated Social Dresses. The Design Director will be responsible for leading and executing designs from sketch to completion, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring brand consistency. You will also conduct market research and stay up-to-date with design trends and best practices. You will be collaborating with the Owner, President of Sales/Merchandising, and Production Team. All design implementation and execution are done on the premises with drapers, sewers, cutters, and pattern makers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Design, Fine Arts is a plus Proven experience as a Design Director or a similar role in Dresses, with a focus on Daytime or Modern Updated Social/Eveningwear Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite/Illustrator Understanding of visual design principles and layout techniques/draping and execution Excellent communication and teamwork skills Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines CAD/Illustrator proficiency Experience in the fashion industry is a must with at least 5 years of experience

Salary:

$100,000 - $180,000, Depending on Level of Experience
