This role leads garment fittings, establishes workflow priorities, and ensures timely completion of development milestones. Responsibilities include creating detailed technical packages for new styles, including measurement specifications, construction details, sketches, labeling requirements, and packaging information. The Technical Designer reviews samples from overseas vendors to evaluate fit, measurements, construction quality, and compliance with design intent. Through leading fit sessions, the Technical Designer identifies necessary pattern and construction corrections to achieve optimal fit, function, and performance. This role provides clear and detailed feedback to vendors, collaborates closely with Design, Product Development, Sourcing, and Production teams, and maintains accurate technical documentation to support successful product execution from concept through production. Bachelor's Degree in apparel or fashion design.
Essential Functions:
Create development tech packs for designs provided by the Design department Collaborate with Technical Design Supervisor on priorities and work flow ensuring deadlines are met and product development calendar is adhered to Review proto submits from overseas vendors. Measure and review construction Schedule and lead fittings and provide feedback on fit and any necessary pattern corrections required to achieve desired fit. Update tech packs with comments and changes from review & fittings. Provide vendors with updated tech packs.

Knowledge of garment construction Strong Microsoft office skills, including Word and Excel Strong Illustrator skills Excellent communication skills Strong organizational skills Ability to multi-task and prioritize
