Overisel Lumber Summary Overisel Lumber has been serving West Michigan since 1925. We are a family owned and operated business that offers an enjoyable place to work! We are looking for a personable, organized, hardworking individual to become part of our team specifically to design and sell kitchen and bathroom products. Responsibilities and Duties Sales representatives must have extensive experience designing and selling kitchen and bath products! You will have the opportunity to work closely with our customers. This includes making sales calls, estimating projects, designing layouts, making product selections, answering phones, writing invoices, ordering special order materials, and much more. Purchasing & Vendor Relations Work with suppliers and vendors to purchase hardware merchandise Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and product availability Monitor product quality and resolve vendor issues Customer Service Assist contractors, builders, and retail customers with product selection Provide technical advice on all products sold and construction materials Resolve customer complaints and special-order requests Sales & Merchandising Develop product displays and promotional setups Recommend upselling opportunities Monitor market trends Skills Commonly Required Knowledge of kitchen and bathroom millwork products Retail sales experience Eye for design and architectural layouts Blueprint reading Product selections to fit a wide range of budgets Customer service experience Basic construction knowledge Vendor relationships Computer/POS system skills Qualifications and Skills Kitchen and Bath sales experience is a must! Strong communication skills Strong work ethic, highly organized, self motivated High school diploma or GED equivalent College or design degree is a plus
