Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. Textile Designer and TechnologistThe Opportunity:
materials science and engineering principles to develop, process, and test materials to create solutions that meet specific technical and performance criteria, utilizing a systems engineering approach and engineering tools, including DE and physical to optimize material selection and improve manufacturing processes. specific functional knowledge and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance and may review or guide activities of more junior employees.You Have:
2+ years of experience with the textile product development process from inception through production, including construction, pattern making, grading, materials, print techniques, manufacturing, and qualityExperience translating client requirements to textile productsExperience with sewingKnowledge of the various sewing machines needed to execute productionKnowledge of MS Office and Adobe Cloud Illustrator or Photoshop toolsKnowledge of PLM systems for workflow management and technical documentationAbility to think strategically and make decisions grounded in technical depthSecret clearanceBachelor's degree inApparel Design, Pattern Making, or Textile ScienceNice If You Have:
Experience working with cross-functional teams, including various forms of engineersExperience designing and manufacturing textile components for military productsExperience working with factoriesExperience in 3D design tools such as Browzwear or CLOKnowledge of factory equipment, garment cutting, sewing, and QA and QC processKnowledge of government specifications such asP/Ds, MIL-DTLs, and MIL-PRFsClearance:
