Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Drafter & Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in translating project concepts into precise technical drawings and comprehensive estimates that drive successful project execution. Your expertise will ensure that design details are accurately captured and cost projections are realistic, fostering seamless collaboration across design, engineering, and construction teams. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse projects, utilizing advanced drafting and estimation tools to bring ideas to life with clarity and precision. Duties Develop detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and Rhinoceros 3D, sketchup, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications. Create schematic diagrams, system designs, interior layouts, mechanical components, and graphic representations for various construction and design projects. Utilize SketchUp, Grasshopper 3D, and 3ds Max to produce realistic visualizations and animations that effectively communicate project concepts. Prepare precise material takeoffs and cost estimates by analyzing project plans, schematics, and specifications using Bluebeam and other estimation tools. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to review designs, refine scope details, and ensure alignment with project goals. Maintain organized documentation of drawings, revisions, estimates, and project records for seamless reference throughout the project lifecycle. Support construction teams by providing drafting support during on-site modifications or technical clarifications. Experience Proven experience in drafting within the architecture, engineering, or construction industries using CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, or MicroStation. Demonstrated ability to produce detailed schematics and system designs for complex projects including interior spaces or mechanical systems. Familiarity with estimating processes involving material takeoffs, cost calculations, and bid preparation. Proficiency in graphic design principles and 2D animation techniques for visual presentations. Knowledge of construction workflows and technical standards related to drafting practices across multiple disciplines. Experience working with software tools like SketchUp, Bluebeam, Grasshopper 3D, Rhinoceros 3D, SolidWorks or System Design applications is highly desirable. Strong communication skills coupled with a keen eye for detail enable effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
