About Chicky Blooms Chicky Blooms is a community-rooted flower shop in the historic Niles District of Fremont. We specialize in fresh floral arrangements, sympathy flowers, events, plants, workshops, and seasonal holiday designs. We are looking for someone dependable, organized, positive, and hands-on to support the daily operations of the shop. Culture is very important to us. Position Summary The Operations / Flower Processing Support role helps keep the flower shop clean, organized, stocked, and ready for designers and customers. This is a behind-the-scenes support position that is essential to the success of the shop. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys physical, detailed, hands-on work and likes creating order in a creative environment. Responsibilities Process fresh flowers and greenery Wash buckets, vases, tools, and work areas Clean and reset the flower cooler Remove old flowers and greens Help with weekly "garbage day" cooler clean-out Organize supplies, ribbons, containers, plants, and backroom areas Sweep, wipe down tables, take out trash, and maintain shop cleanliness Restock front shop areas as needed Help prepare flowers for designers Follow shop checklists and procedures Support the team during busy holidays and events Keep the workspace clean, safe, and professional Ideal Candidate Reliable and punctual Positive attitude and team-oriented Takes initiative without needing constant reminders Comfortable with cleaning, organizing, and physical work Able to stand for most of the shift Able to lift buckets, supplies, and floral products Detail-oriented Willing to learn flower care and shop procedures Respectful, kind, and professional Interested in growing with a small business No floral design experience is required. We are willing to train the right person.
