Floral Designer

Expressions Floral is a full service florist and wedding/ event company in Gilroy, CA. We are a preferred vendor throughout the Bay Area. We are currently looking for Experienced Floral Designers, however open to those with creative talents and willing to learn. Hours are flexible and part time or full time. •Pay rate is based on experience, ability and talent, higher pay is for management and design level of 5 or more years. Duties and Responsibilities will include but not limited to: Assist with customer service. Assist walk in customers. Prepare floral arrangements as assigned and be able to work independently. Provide knowledge and information in constructing designs for a variety of events. Follow directions and specifications, following up with questions as needed. Assist with receiving and processing product, loading of vehicles and setting up events. Maintain clean and organized work space. Stay current in floral design trends, techniques and products. Water and take care of plants. Set up and delivery of weddings and events

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must have excellent customer service and communications skills, verbal and written. Be willing to work flexible hours, including some, not all weekends. Will have a weekly determined schedule. Good cooperation, people skills and work as a team member. Ability to multitask, and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Be dependable and punctual. Able to stand and walk for long periods of time as well as lift up to 30 pounds on occasional basis. Possess a valid California driver's license .
