Floral Designer

Summary The ideal candidate must have a total knowledge of floral product and quality floral design along with plant maintenance and care. Ability to create original designs, copy and mass produce arrangements in quantity. Ability to read and understand written proposals. May supervise other employees at manager's request. Ability to lead on installation of jobs. Must have a flexible schedule. Essential Functions Job duties include, although are not limited to:

• Be able to supervise floral décor placement on job site,
• Communicate with clients and managers on site.
• Assist others at the request of Floral Shop Supervisor.
• Ability to answer phone and take orders.
• Ability to drive van.
• Plant Care and Maintenance in clients' residences.
• Ensure client satisfaction.
• Set up and prep floral containers.
• Setup and strike of events.
• Daily van check log filled out.
• Design and lead Mass-produce floral arrangements and floral staff.
• Produce daily vases and other arrangements at floral supervisor's request.
• Report damaged and missing items.
• Check and read proposals and task sheets.
• Insure a safe working environment.
• Assist production staff when instructed to by floral supervisor when setting up events.
• Clean floor and prepare floral dept. after days work.
• Assist in installing table linen, chair covers and sashes when needed and instructed to do so by floral manager. Assist in fabric installations upon manager's request.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by supervisors/managers.
• Attend monthly employee meeting.
• Flexible hours.
• Willingness to do Miami trip to retrieve floral orders.
• Perform deliveries off property.
• Load Sheet packets to accompany you on any job site for clear directions and for you to lead if necessary or requested.

Internal Relationships Reports to Boca by Design managers, associates, resort managers and associates, guests and clients. External Relationships Has regular contact with Vendors, clients, guests Qualifications Minimum 2 years' experience in a volume floral shop or event company. Understand/ speak/ read/ write English fluently. Must have reliable transportation. Comfort level driving a BBD Van Education/Experience Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
