This is a year round hourly position, managing seasonal freelancers/crew as needed, with expected 10+ hours per week in low season (Nov-Apr) and 40 hours a week in the high season (May-Oct). The responsibility of this role on our flower team will be to lead all aspects of our in-house floral design.
To include:
  • Create seasonal floral designs utilizing farm-grown materials for farm retail sales, and all farm events.
  • Field floral inquiries for retail and events, manage client communication, create floral plans and execute design work.
  • Order and inventory necessary hardgoods and rental items
  • Coordinate with Field Manager to include needed flower types/color palletes in planting plans.
Candidate must be:
  • Excited to commit to a full growing season as a vital member of our small team, and passionately Interested in the wild and beautiful world of specialty cut flowers
  • Able to work outside, with early mornings and long days, in extremely variable New England weather conditions while maintaining a sense of humor
  • Able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
  • In possession of a viable (and clean) drivers license, and a mode of transport to and from work
