Job Description

Event Floral Designer 472 W Glenlord Rd, Saint Joseph, MI 49085 $16 an hour - Part-time $16 an hour - Part-time JWedding Florist / Floral Designer — Etre Farms Southwest Michigan Peak season, weekend-anchored schedule Flowers are the first thing a couple sees when they walk into their reception, and one of the last things they're still talking about years later. At Etre Farms — an all-inclusive luxury wedding venue on 8 private acres in Southwest Michigan — florals aren't an add-on. They're part of how we tell each couple's story. We're hiring a Wedding Florist to help us design and build them. The role You'll work alongside our Lead Florist to bring each wedding's floral vision to life from start to finish. Early in the week, that means receiving, processing, and conditioning fresh stems. Midweek, you'll design and build personal flowers, centerpieces, ceremony pieces, and arch and arbor work. Then you'll install it all on site so everything is flawless before the couple ever arrives. On wedding days, you'll handle final touch-ups, pinning, and the quiet saves that no one notices but everyone would miss. Etre Farms also offers a signature heirloom flower collection you won't find anywhere else — so part of this role is helping steward florals that mean something, not just florals that photograph beautifully (though they do that too). You won't be doing this solo. You'll be part of a close-knit team that values precision, warmth, and getting the small things exactly right. What we're looking for Hands-on floral design experience — wedding or event work especially welcome Comfort with the full cycle: receiving, processing, mechanics, design, install, and breakdown A steady eye for color, balance, and proportion, and the patience to make it look effortless Physical stamina — buckets are heavy, install days are long, and ceremonies don't wait Reliable weekend availability through peak season A calm, team-first temperament — luxury weddings run on people who keep their cool Bonus points for Experience with large-scale installations (arches, hanging florals, statement ceremony moments) A background in floral sourcing or wholesale Your own reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (occasional local pickups) What you'll get Beyond competitive pay, you'll build genuinely beautiful work at a venue that treats florals as art, with a team that has your back and a steady, repeatable rhythm to the season. No two weddings look the same, but the standard never moves.
