Main responsibilities:
Lead and manage daily operations of the floral department to deliver high-quality products and customer experiences Hire, train, schedule, and supervise floral team members to ensure proper coverage and performance Design and create attractive, fresh floral arrangements for displays and customer orders Manage department inventory, including ordering supplies, maintaining stock levels, and conducting monthly inventories Monitor and achieve departmental financial goals, including sales, shrink, and labor targets Provide excellent customer service, addressing questions, special requests, and resolving concerns professionally Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing floral department Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, safety standards, and merchandising guidelines We are looking for candidates who possess the following: Soft skills : Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills Leadership and teamwork abilities with a positive, motivating approach Creativity and attention to detail Problem-solving skills and calmness when handling customer concerns Time management and organizational skills Adaptability in a fast-paced retail environment
Competencies :
Team supervision and employee development Floral design and merchandising Budget management and inventory control Customer relationship management Task prioritization and multitasking Compliance with workplace policies and standards
Knowledge :
Floral products, care techniques, and design principles Retail sales and customer service best practices Inventory systems and ordering processes Basic cash handling and point-of-sale operations Workplace safety, sanitation, and merchandising standards
Abilities :
Ability to arrange and display flowers and plants creatively Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds occasionally Ability to multitask and work independently or as part of a team Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Other requirements: Continuous exposure to plants and flowers Reliable and predictable attendance Compliance with company grooming, uniform, and conduct policies Willingness to work a flexible retail schedule Commitment to providing a positive shopping experience for customers We also provide a variety of benefits including: Competitive wages paid weekly • Access to up to 50% of your earned wages before payday, via our partnership with Stream Associate discounts Health and financial well-being benefits for eligible associates (Medical, Dental, 401k and more!)
